Petra Polackova

Petra Polácková started to play the guitar at the age of six at music school in Roznov pod Radhoštem under the leadership of Bohuslav Faltus and Miroslava Pavelková and music school „Lounských“ in Prague under the leadership of Prof. Zdenek Dvorák. She studied from 1996 to 2004 at the grammar school in Roznov pod Radhoštem. Nowadays, she studies in the sixth class with Prof. Petr Saidl at the Conservatory in Pardubice. She is playing also chamber music with Jan Zemen (violoncello) or Pavla Klepeštová (soprano) and is a member of the Bohemian Guitar Orchestra. In years 2004 – 2007 she was teaching at the music school Habrmanova in Hradec Králové and from 2005 she is teaching at music school Chocen. She won first prizes at the International Music Festival of Ivan Ballú in Dolný Kubín, The Competition of Czech Conservatories, at the International Biennial Guitar Competition in Kutná Hora, at the International Guitar Competition J.K. Mertz Bratislava, at International Guitar Competition Krzyzowa and at the International Guitar Competition Krynica.
