Quartetto Strehler

From Central Europe's Trieste of f the first 900 through the fervor of a cultural Milan in the second half of the 20th century, a violin begins her journey to become, today, the meeting point between music, theater and  poetry.
The instrument belonged to the Albertina Ferrari, mother of George Strehler, and popular violinist Jeno Hubay's pupil.
Andrea Jonasson Strehler, with the intent to give again voice to the violin, brings together four musicians from different international musical experiences, through which they could collaborate with performers such as Maazel, Barenboim, Chung, Gergiev, Abbado, Carmignola, Bogdanovich, Rostropovich, Brunello, Vernikov, Rossi, Lucchesini, Masi, and many others.
In memory of the great theater director, its cultural roots and his love for the art of sounds, the young string quartet aims to reconcile the tradition interpretation of the immense musical heritage of Central Europe with the idea "Bel canto", the flagship of the Italian opera to which Giorgio Strehler has made an immense contribution.
