What I try to achieve through my interpretations is to use sound as an element filtered through my personality, imagination and experience, striving to explore unbeaten paths.
As for my previous CD, “Solo”, this last recording is a compilation of works which I am particularly fond of and in which I purposed to record my artistic development at this specific point of time. The comprehensive project that I will develop with FaraRecords, foreshadows further monographic programs linked to carefully selected authors, historic periods or musical forms.
The research carried out for the sound recording aims to a faithful reproduction of the instrument’s authentic voice, as listened to in a concert hall. The choice of the guitar, a Luca Waldner in spruce and maple, was significant for me; in it I found a balanced and cantabile sound, a variety of tones and nuances, which gave an immense contribution to my self-expression.
I dedicate this work to my students… from the past, the present and those yet to be, because I feel they play a highly significant part in my life, as a man and a musician.

Trio Nahual The programme presented on this CD is made up, for the most part, of works seldom played in the world of chamber music for classical guitar, and dedicated to the even rarer formation of the trio. Nevertheless, our aim is to present a repertoire chosen from pieces
having in common, beauty and depth of feeling.
In order to compose a typical recital programme ranging from the Baroque period to the present day, different sources have been used, such as the transcription technique, ever attentive to the real essence of the work. We have also explored the “historical” repertoire for three guitars, and, lastly, we have introduced new pieces, which enrich the contemporary repertoire for this formation. Furthermore, we consider that the use of three identical guitars, made by the same luthier can help to create the feeling of listening to one single instrument, in complete accordance with our philosophy of “making music together”.

FonocromieThis CD gathers a selection of works written among 2004 and 2007. The leitmotiv that connects them is the strict relation between the sonorous vibration and the chromatic one.
These pieces are the fruits of a inner research started in 2003, when I saw the works of the great Russian artist Vassily Kandinsky. His paintings and writings have led the way, latent since then, which helps the artist to merge colour and sound, because the two vibrations have the same origin and they actually interpenetrate in an only dimensional reality.
Every colour and every shape, differently connected with each other, create movement, emotion and energy at the same time. The music has the function of amplify the interior sound of these elements, whose essence is closely related with the sonorous vibration.
Whether the painting precedes the music or the music heads the creation of the painting, it is necessary to codify again the original message, making a connection with the vibration, so that it is possible to change this vibration into a new language. The colour must be listened in its interior sound, while the music must be seen in its intrinsic relations and on the basis of the shapes that it takes in the space.
This CD represents then a first point of this research and it refers only to the sonorous respect of the created works.
However, even if the painting and the music can be independent without any connection between each other, only through their union the works can reach the synthesis. They both create a new dimension, so that the user of the work can better understand the artist’s original idea.

Africa‘Africa Personale’ uses an imagined paper map to take a fantasy journey, searching for lost sounds and rhythms. The legs of the journey are comprised by the new pieces, which are recognizably by Dal Dan (piano), who, with his long-time friend Piero Cescut (bass), mixes tradition and innovative jazz. The result is a warm, generous, emotionally evocative sound.
Many fellow ‘travellers’ have joined this wandering dream, offering precious moments to a work already rich with original ideas: the extraordinary Francesco Bearzatti, friends from the Pordenone Big Band and Massimo Manzi, who recently introduced the CD to Pordenone audiences.
